5 things to do this week: Nights in Northwood, pride festival, fundraiser and more

Nights in Northwood

Visit Northwood for an evening of live music, vendors and other engaging activities for all ages. The night begins at 6 p.m. Thursday at Swensrud Park in Northwood. The band 507 Country will play live music at the event, and food will be available from Signatures Supper Club and Egg-Cetera Cafe. Visitors are invited to bring their own chair or blanket for seating.



ƹƵ Pride Festival

Join the ƹƵ community from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Central Park for the annual Pride Celebration. The event will begin with a Drag Brunch from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Freeborn County Historical Museum, Library and Village followed by activities in the park. 



Mini makers summer edition

Get creative with a craft-making session for children from 10 to 11 a.m. at Carpenter Coffee Co. in Northwood. Cost is $3 per child to help cover the cost of materials and instruction. There is no need to register.



Salad luncheon for Food for Backpack Program

Support the local Food for Backpack Program from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church in ƹƵ for a salad luncheon. The cost of the meal is $10 and will include sloppy joes, salad and baked beans. The event will be in the church’s Bethany Hall.



Lemonades, teas and mocktails with our friend herb

ƹƵ Community Education will host a demonstration of ideas for garden herbs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Sonshine Gardens in Clarks Grove. It will be a night of tasting snacks and beverages utilizing all kinds of herbs and plants found in the garden. Preregistration is required by visiting .
